I have always had a dry skin and finding the right moisturizer has been a challenge. I usually have to apply moisturizer few times a day to prevent my skin from stretching. This serum comes in a glass bottle and with less than 2 oz in quantity it's definitely on higher price range. At first when I applied it, it felt very sticky but the stickiness went away once the serum was absorbed in skin. It leaves a very smooth and silken texture and I noticed when I use it, I don't have to frequently moisturize my skin so it seems this serum locks in moisture. It also makes my dull skin look supple and well hydrated so it's going to be on my list when I run out of this tiny bottle. The good thing is I just need 2-3 drops for my face and neck so a little goes a long way.
This has a nice gentle and pleasant scent, and feels nice on my skin. I have pretty dry skin, which only a few things end up helping during the winter. This will be nice for summertime when I have less intense moisture needs, but currently not working to combat my dry skin.
This serum came in a sealed box that was wrapped in plastic. It expires July 23rd, 2027 if unopened and 6 months after opening. It’s made in Korea. I appreciate and respect that the amount of serum is transparently revealed by using a clear bottle.This is a scented serum. While I enjoy the fragrance, it could be irritating for those with sensitivities to added fragrance.It has a watery consistency and feels slightly oily upon contact with the skin but it soaks in very quickly and there’s no oiliness or stickiness left behind.There are some great ingredients in here for my mature skin. EGFs are a controversial one but I’m drawn to them for their ability to stimulate cell growth and repair the skin barrier. They help increase collagen production in my skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.There are a ton of antioxidant and soothing ingredients in this serum as well and while it’s too early to see the wrinkle reduction results, I DO notice that my skin seems calmer and a little more even-toned.Overall, I’m super excited to see what future results come from using this serum every day. The price is fair for 1.69 ounces
I’m surprised for a $60 serum that the packaging on this is not in a better bottle. It’s made out of cheap plastic and really lightweight. It’s not as glowy as it claims to be, but it does sink into the skin pretty well. I don’t really like the scent of this either because it smells heavily fragranced.
This Velvet Glow Serum feels very luxurious on the skin. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a medicine dropper applicator. I prefer glass for longevity and safety, but I see myself using this quickly. The serum itself is lightweight, slightly thicker than a water but not quite a gel. It glides onto the skin and is easy to massage around the face. It quickly absorbs and doesn't leave any residue or sticky feeling. I like that after it absorbs and dries, I can still feel as though it's on my face. Definitely a great serum.
